MAT Gymnastics and Tumbling/Trampoline is excited to offer a Baton Twirling Class. This class will include one baton, two baton, flag, ribbons, hoop and at the expert level, fire baton. THe class is for ages 5 years old and up.
The class will be taught by Ashley Worsfold. She has been twriling for 9 years and continues to to perfect her skills studying with her longtime coach NBTA judge and Hall of Fame member, Ms. Jan of Norwalk. She has also studied with ISU featured twirler, U of IA Golden Girl, and Miss Iowa. Miss Ashley is the featured twirler of Marshalltown High School and has won numerous awards and trophies in competition. She is also a member of the world famous Superstars.
Twirling will encourage coordination, flexibility, teamwork, social skills, hand-eye coordination, and confindence!
There are no expensive costumes that need to be purchesed, just wear shorts and a T-shirt.
There will be one recital at the end of the year show the students can show off their talents!
